ISO 9001

The ISO 9000 family of international standards relates to Quality Management Systems and is designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of their customers and other interested parties, whilst meeting the statutory and regulatory requirements related to the product. The standards are published by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, and are available through national standards bodies.

ISO 9000 deals with the fundamentals of a Quality Management System, including the eight management principles on which the family of standards is based. ISO 9001 deals with the requirements that organizations wishing to meet the standard have to fulfill.

We have a Quality Policy Manual that sits above all our quality assurance and control processes. This manual is based on the requirements of ISO 9001 and although we do not currently hold this accreditation, we do ensure that all of our quality procedures are aligned with its requirements to enable us to become accreditated in the future.

Our Quality Policy Manual encompasses the following:

  • Standardised Work Procedures (SWPs);
  • Control of documents;
  • Continuous staff training and feedback;
  • Complaints/observation systems;
  • Continuous review and improvement of the organisation's performance;
  • Control of production;
  • Traceability of orders;
  • Purchasing processes;
  • Responsibilities and authority within the organisation;

You can read more about ISO 9000 on the ISO Website.
