Cutting

With very few exceptions, we generally print all our products on oversized sheets of paper, and use the area around your jobs to reproduce special 'printers marks' such as registration marks and colour bars that we need to set jobs up on our printing presses and to control the quality and colour of each job as it's produced.

When the printed sheets are dry enough to be print finished, these extra parts of the sheet are cut off using a guillotine. What's left is your job, which is then packed or sent for further processing if additional finishing processes are required.

We can cut sheets down to virtually any size, but the most common sheet sizes are:

  • A7    (74.25 x 105mm);
  • A6    (105 x 148.5mm);
  • A5    (148.5 x 210mm);
  • A4    (210 x 297mm);
  • A3    (297 x 420mm);
  • A2    (420 x 594mm);
