Re-moist gumming is a specialised type of gluing where adhesive gum is applied to an area of the sheet of paper to allow subsequent sealing by the end-user. The seal is normally made by moistening or licking the glued area which then becomes sticky and may be attached/re-attached to another part of the same product.
The process is very similar to UV-spot varnishing except that a UV-curable gum is used instead of a high gloss varnish. As with UV-spot varnishing the gum can be applied to any part of the sheet.
