UV-Spot Varnishing

UV-spot varnishing is the application of a high gloss (or matt) varnish that is cured (dried) under ultra-violet (UV) light. The UV varnish can be applied to any part of the sheet as with any other ink in order that those parts can be highlighted through the application of the high gloss finish. The high gloss finish can be especially effective when applied onto a matt laminated sheet.

This effect achieves a striking first impression on high value products such as brochure covers and presentation folders, and helps to increase the perceived value of those products.
